The Oracle’s Origin Story

As a life-long mover, I’ve always felt the mind/body connection as a seat of power. During the pandemic when everything moved to screens, I felt disconnected, scared, and confused (no doubt others felt the same). To support myself, I began exploring how different movements and somatic practices helped me meet emotional intensity, regulate my nervous system, and feel connected to something larger than myself. I was also getting into tarot, magic, and nature-based spiritually. Something called to me through all of this. It was the Rhythms of Resource and I started experimenting and mapping.

After working with the resources for several years, I realized there needed to be a “living book” to access this wisdom. The oracle began forming. I’ve always loved digital collage and felt seeing the human body (in all shapes, sizes, skin colors, abilities, and ages) was essential for this work. Searching through public domain and Canva’s licensed images, I found people, places, and plants that represented each movement oracle. NO A.I. generated images were used in the creation of the deck (at least to my knowledge). Likewise, NO A.I. was used in the writing of the guidebook. The deck represents the melding of the human spirit with something sacred.

Taking six years to be fully realized, the deck offers something beyond aesthetics and insight. This is a deck for those who want to embody transformation.
